Synopsis: An amazing glimpse into 'Rohtas Fort' a marvel of medieval Muslim Military Architecture of India. Declared a UNESCO World heritage site. Situated on the old route set by invaders coming from central Asia to conquer the Indian subcontinent, the Rohtas Fort was created by the great warrior 'Sher Shah Suri' (famous as the Tiger King), just after he defeated the second Mughal Emperor Humayun. The massive fort, which extends over four kilometers in circumference was built on a highly strategic location in the very harsh rocky landscape of the diversified Potohar region of northern Punjab that lies in in present day Pakistan. |
